BRENTON WRAPS UP TRI-STATE SERIES DESPITE HUGE CRASH2/Aug/2009Ryan Lancaster dominated proceedings at the Toolleen final with three wins from three starts. Chris Brenton started strongly and had a half a minute lead in the opening moto before crashing heavily and limping home to clinch series win.The Toolleen was the third and final round of the 2009 ATV Tri-State Series organised by the Quad Riders Club of Victoria.Chris Brenton - “I’m stoked to have won the Pro Class on the KTM ATV 450 SX, but unfortunately I didn’t do it un-injured,” said Brenton. “I’m pretty bruised, and battered after I crashed in the opening moto of the Pro Class. I had around a 30 second lead with two laps to go, and I did a big ender over the table top injuring my back, and my kidneys. I jumped back on the KTM, and with the adrenaline kicking in managed to finish the first race in sixth. “I rode through the pain barrier in the next two motos to get a fourth in the next moto, and second in the final moto, which secured me the win for the Pro Class in the Tri-State Championship. “I only raced one race in the Production Class because I was too sore to continue, and I’m pleased that I still managed to get second in the Production Class Championship showing the KTM ATV 450 SX is ready to race. “I’ll be getting checked out by the doctors back in Perth to ensure I haven’t done any major damage, and then I will be back into training to prepare for the Nationals in September. “I’d like to congratulate fellow Pro Class competitors Ant, Chad and Ryan for their results.
